Deep-fried Tilapia Fish Recipes ~ with Thai Sweet and Sour Sauce

Tilapia fish recipes are very popular nowadays because tilapias are cheap and you can find them almost anywhere around the globe.

You can catch them from most ponds, lakes, streams and rivers. They are available all-year round.

The white meat is mild and tasteful with low calories and high in protein. There are a great variety of recipes for tilapia fish. The meat is very versatile for a wide range of cooking styles.

Ingredients

800g whole fish

Some corn-flour

Some coriander leaves

Oil for deep-frying

1 big onion, shredded

3-4 big red chillies, cut into strips

1 tsp salt

Ingredients-Sauce

5 tbsp Thai Sweet and Sour sauce

½ tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

3-5 tbsp water

Directions

Clean the fish

Cut 2-3 deep-slits on each side of the fish

Season with salt and some corn-flour

Heat oil in a wok till red-hot

Fry the fish until crispy and brown

Remove fish and drain from oil

Place fish on a plate

Reheat wok with a little oil

Put in ingredients for the sauce

Add in the shredded onion and chillies

Bring it to a boil

Pour them nicely all over the fish

Garnish with corianders leaves

Ready to eat and enjoy!
