Who is Nick Tan, the owner of ultimate-fishing-guide.com?Hi! My name is Nick Tan, the guy behind Ultimate Fishing Guide ------ a fishing website to share with all fishing buddies. First and foremost, thank you very much for visiting my fishing site. What made me write this fishing website then? Well, first I was born with fish all around me. Serious, I’m not kidding. My late father was a tropical fish breeder by profession. We had 100 and 100 of fish-tanks, cemented-brick ponds, small and large filled with beautiful aquarium fishes of all types on our tiny plot of land next to a river. And there was this huge man-made retention pond with beautiful water lilies, stocked with some native freshwater species, right in front of our home that I used to fish. My first so called fishing rod was a hand-crafted bamboo pole. The hand-crafter is none other than Nick Tan of course. Sound very impressive, right? Actually, this fishing pole was my mother’s arsenal for hanging out our laundry to dry. And not forget the fishing line (braided fishing line) from my mum’s sewing equipment. Thank you, mum! I must say I was already practicing “Catch and Release” then at that early age because those fish we stocked in the pond were pets to me than fish to bring to the table for supper. Conservation was not an in-thing then. And without much realizing it I was hooked for life from that moment with this wonderful sport, fishing. And, here I am today, half way on my journey to this planet ( by the way I’m only 50 odd ) I find myself having a good time ‘bla-bla-bla’ my fishing experiences on the Net. By the way I am no techie. All I know best is angling, but only with the help of this super tool known as Site Built It (SBI) leading me by the hand, teaching me almost everything from A-Z the trick of putting pages in cyberspace I feel like a real pro overnight ----- oh yeah I still can’t believe it! Thank you --- SBI!! Anyway, I sincerely hope that you find this angling website helpful to you. And that you will come back again and again.
