Yummy Fish Taco Recipes
The best fish taco recipes are made by the Mexicans where tacos are originated. Fish tacos are getting very popular. Nowadays, you can easily try one with the many taco stands sprouting out in most big cities around the globe. Basically, fish tacos are a batter-grilled or fried fish wrapped in a tortilla with a sauce and slaw. Tacos are delicious and very easy to make. With a good fish taco recipe you can also made your own in the comfort of your home. Try these fish tacos recipes of mine and I bet you will like them. Salmon with Avocado Salsa 11/2 lb. salmon fillets cut into long strips of about ½ an inch wide 12 flour or corn tortillas 3 tbsp vegetable or olive oil Salt and pepper to taste, seasoning Salsa Ingredients: 1 avocado, diced 2 medium-sized tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 red bell pepper, diced ½ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped Juice of 2 limes Hot pepper sauce, to taste Salt and pepper, to taste Garnish: Some lime wedges Small bunch of cilantro leaves Method: Combine all salsa ingredients in a dish and let it chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Dry the fish with kitchen papers and season with salt and pepper, and then cook in a pan with a fine layer of oil over medium-heat until fish flakes when tested with a fork. Place fish in the centre of warmed tortilla topped with a spoonful or 2 of the salsa, garnish with cilantro leaves and a few drops of lime juice. Wrap it and enjoy! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Spicy Tuna Fish Taco 1 lb. tuna fillets, cut into chunks 6-8 flour or corn tortillas Marinade Ingredients: 3 tomatoes, seeded and diced 1 large onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped 1 tsp. chili powder 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. dry sherry or white wine 2 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil Salt and pepper, to taste Dressings: ½ cup sour cream ½ cup mayonnaise Toppings: 3 tomatoes, chopped 1 small head cabbage, shredded Garnish: Lime wedges Cilantro leaves Mix all marinade ingredients in a dish or zip bag, add in fish and refrigerated for about 30 minutes. Remove fish from marinade and cook fish in a pan over medium-heat until fish flakes with a fork. Break fish into small flakes with a fork. Spread some sour cream and mayonnaise on the warmed tortillas. Add some of the fish flakes, topped with chopped tomatoes and shredded cabbages.
